Mahindra Scorpio N Major Update Coming Soon – Level-2 ADAS & Panoramic Sunroof Expected
Mahindra is gearing up to launch a major update to its Scorpio N SUV, one of its best-selling full-size SUVs in India. The refreshed version is expected to arrive with new tech features, safety upgrades, and improved global positioning — especially for export markets like Australia.
🚗 What’s New in the Updated Scorpio N?
The Scorpio N was launched a couple of years ago as the “Big Daddy of SUVs”, and now Mahindra is planning to give it a feature boost — just in time for the 2025 festive season.
🔧 Confirmed & Expected Features:
- Level-2 ADAS suite with:
- Adaptive Cruise Control
- Lane Keep Assist
- Lane Departure Warning
- High Beam Assist
- Auto Emergency Braking (AEB)
- Panoramic Sunroof (Currently, it only offers single-pane)
- Larger 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system
- Rear ventilated seats (Expected in 6-seater variants)
These features are likely to be offered in new top-spec trims, while design changes are expected to remain minimal.
🌍 Why This Update Matters Globally – Especially Australia
Mahindra aims to make the Scorpio N globally compliant, especially for Australasia markets (Australia, New Zealand, New Guinea), where AEB is mandatory for new vehicles manufactured after March 1, 2023.
- Mahindra had temporary approval to sell Scorpio N in Australia without AEB till 2025.
- Due to this, Scorpio N scored 0 Stars in ANCAP, despite a 5-star GNCAP rating in India.
- With the upcoming update (expected mid-to-late 2025), the ADAS-equipped Scorpio N should meet ANCAP safety requirements.
